Why coronavirus cases are rapidly increasing in the USA?

The USA now becomes an epicenter of the coronavirus disease having more than 1.24M cases. According to the New York Times, there will be a sharp rise in daily deaths by June 1.  The confirmed cases in the USA are more than the next four countries combined. The number of cases in New York State is more than 200,000. It shows how much the situation is worse in the USA. There are many reasons behind skyrocketing cases of COVID-19 in the USA.

 Dissension between national and federal governments

In the USA, the national-level response in some parts was hindered by its federalist system. In some states, there were no restrictions on bars and restaurants. The USA president, Donald Trump banned the entry of foreign nationals who traveled china and most of the European regions within 14 days before returning to the USA. Recently, the president also closed America’s border with Mexico and Canada. Despite all these, the cases are surging very rapidly.

Coronavirus Lockdown Protest

Across the country, people are coming on the streets for protesting the lockdown orders. They block roads and honk car horns to show their resistance towards lockdown. Protestors are complaining that it is all overreactions of the state governments. Some have issues with damaging local economies. Unemployment in the USA is reached 22 million which is a huge blow for superpower America.
